Can anyone give me the measurements for the opening on the Shelby R front Apron?

I'm planning on getting one down the road but need a trans cooler sooner than that. I want a cooler that will fill up the entire opening.

Will a 5.5"x11" core size bar and plate trans cooler do the trick?

Such as this one:

That should be more than ample to cool off my trans, even without the cooler in the radiator.

I have one on my '66 coupe and it measures 22 inches across the top, 21 inches across the bottom and about 5.5 inches tall. All of these measurements are of the opening.

Thank you, thats exactly what I needed.

As for my next question...

If I buy an aluminum radiator w/o trans cooler, you think the one I listed above will be enough for my AOD?
