My car has been pretty well neglected for the last 3 or 4 years while my hobby of sportbike road racing was taking place. The car sat in the corner leaking oil with a mysterious vacuum leak. This summer I decided to sell the race bike...so back to the stang I go!

- Fixed a VERY leaky intake gasket...car was running horribly before
- Fixed what I thought was a rear main leak....ended up being the low oil sensor (fixed with 20mm x 1.5 drain plug)
- Washed and waxed the paint (first wax since it was painted 4 years ago)
- Polished wheels
- Installed new headlights....they were much needed!

- I have a complete tubular front end and coil over kit waiting to be installed. Also some aftermarket rear control arms waiting. Only suspension mods I have done are some Comp Eng rear shocks and 4 cyl front springs.

I'm really looking forward to hitting the drag strip again this summer. My pursuit of 11 sec ET's never really got rolling that hard, hopefully one day I'll get there.

I'll never get tired of looking at a nice GT with a cowl and Welds. That's a timeless combo. I love the headlights too, looks very nice. A little window tint would set that car off nicely.

Thanks guys.

Next on the purchase list is some Moser 28 spline axles...I'm a little nervous launching on the stockers anymore.

My car has a problem attracting attention from super troopers, I'm afraid window tint would just give them the reason they needed to ticket me. I agree though, it would look better with it.

Sometime next week I plan on doing the coil over kit on the front end...pics will follow!

I only get one side done tonight.
Here's some weight figures (per side) for ya's....

Stock A-Arm.................................................................. 12lbs 12oz
Stock Strut and plate..................................................... 13lbs 9oz
Stock 4cyl spring and polyurethane insulators............ 10lbs 5oz

QA1 Tubular A-Arm...................................................... 5lbs 8oz
KYB AGX adjustable strut & MM C/C plate.............. 12lbs 1oz
Steeda Coil-Over & #200-12 spring............................... 4 lbs 5 oz

Total weight savings of 14lbs 13oz per side...so basically 30lbs saved.

I had to move the brake line mounting point because the coil over kit hit it when turned all the way to the left. I should of taken a picture of it, but it's honestly in a better position now than stock. Had to cut the line and re-flare it to make it work, so some brake bleeding will be in order.

Oh yeah, and don't pay any attention to the castle nut on top of the strut, that's just a temp until I get into town and get a proper nut. Turns out the nut off the stock strut is a different thread than the KYB struts.

To be honest, it's been so long since I purchased them, I don't remember where or how much. But I'm thinking they are QA1 and I paid around $200 for them....Jeg's perhaps.
