Sweet, I thought the '04 had 12MM X 1.75. I'm looking for one now.

I have seen some 05's+ knobs in a few foxes and I know the 94-98 knobs fit and I almost positive the 99+ knobs fit. If you want I can take my stock 88 handle and see what threads it has

I just wanted to see if the '04 GT leather knob would fit my '07. It's the only handle that I really enjoyed using. If it's 12MM X 1.25 then I'm gonna have to find one. Thanks.

dont get a t-handle like the older hurst ones... they seem fine at first, but when you try to powershift into 3rd, and the locknut comes loose, it likes to swivel, thus making your hand fly off the knob, and punch your radio. Its no fun i tell ya.

Please dont buy one off ebay or any cheap knockoff ones, make sure that it will thread down onto your shifter. I bought some cheaper knobs and the threads didnt match and it was held on buy an allen screw that kept vibrating loose

you cant go wrong with a plain old black ball

if you just slap it on you will have some threads of your shifter handle showing, i cut some threads off my handle so the knobs come all the way down and meets the boot.

so it makes the shifter shorter so it shortening the throw by a bit kinda sorta lol

You can get that same knob from industrial catalogs (mcmaster carr, MSC, etc.) for around half that. I can't see paying $40 or more for a damn shift knob. I won a cue ball off of ebay for $3 shipped & I'm going to put an insert in it.

Way back in 1983, my wife bought a new t'bird turbo coupe five speed. It had a really nice leather knob. Kind of looked like the newer ones, but not as tall. Later I put one of the first Hurst shifters in the car and used the stock knob. When we sold it, I put the Hurst knob on it. I've used that '83 t'bird knob on three Fox Mustangs and four different shifters (stock, Hurst, Tri-ax, and Pro50).
