Ok, well I took on the big task of turning my 95' v6/auto tranny stang into a 5.0/5 speed stang. Heh. Anyways, I bought a 88' donor car for the project and I've already got the 5.0/5 speed sitting in my 95'. That's where I am right now. I'm looking a little bit ahead but, I can already tell I'm going to need something to relocate my shifter so it sits farther back in the middle console. The shifter hole in the t5 tranny is halfway matched up with the hole in the floor and halfway to far forward. Even if it matched up with the hole perfectly it seems like it would be to far forward to be comferatble. If it makes no sense let me know, lol. But does anyone have any idea on what I can do to move the shifter back towards me some? Thanks a lot in advance.

I'm fairly certain the only way you will make it work, is to trade it for the sn-95 specific t-5 with the proper shifter location. That or cut a hole wherever your shifter needs to be.........

Damn that sucks, I'll have to keep thinking of a different way then, because it seems to far forward to be comferatble. I'll just have to wait until I have my seats back in there to find out for sure though. When it was a automatic I tried to see if it would be comferatble to shift it how it was, and it still seemed to far forward. But what we noticed was that there was quite a bit of room between the engine and the firewall so I might be able to get some different mounts to move the whole engine/tranny back a bit depending on driveshaft length, etc... Ok well if anyone else has anymore input it would be appreciated, but so far, thanks guys.

They're too far foward to be comfortable from the factory in the foxes, LOL. Do you have a picture of where the shifter actually sits? I thought you were having a problem with getting the shifter on there at all...........

I don't have any pictures right now, but I'll try to get some up soon. I haven't actually put the shifter on, if I wanted to, I'd have to elongate the hole in the floor where the tranny meets the floor. It will bolt up fine and work, it's just I'll be hunched over reaching for the damn shifter cause it's so far forward. That is the problem.

I'd also make sure it's not going to be hitting your stereo/heater controls (don't know how the sn95's are set up in that regard). I think you're really going to want to consider selling that trans and getting the one that fits.

Yea, that is what I was thinking about also, it hitting the stereo/heater. I guess I'll have to see how it goes after it's all in there and stuff. Thanks for your help guys.

Lol, if I moved my seat forward I'd be eating the steering wheel.
