Does anyone know where you can buy "Shiny black wire loom???" I see it on all the show cars, but no one sells it. You can paint it because it will just peel off. Anyone know???
I'm fairly sure even Walmart sells it, if not then the parts stores should have it.
It probably looks so shiney at the shows because they use tire glaze on it. Get a cheap can of tire foam and spray the whole engine bay down and then wipe it all clean with a dry rag and it'll all look brand new.
Its called wire loom. I found mine cheapest in my little town at a Home/Farm Equipment place in the Electrical wiring section for house wiring. I have also seen Parts Express ( the same place that JRichker notes for door lock actuators) sell it by the foot pretty cheap. I know the big Street Rod shows usually has someone there selling every color you could imagine. Be careful though, I have seen the loom at O'Reilly's not look so much black, but more gray. You should be able to find it at any parts store chain or Wal-Mart. Same stuff, but different prices
That braided is cool, wouldn't be good for my car unless I redid all of the wire loom, but it would look nice. I have never seen it before braided. Thanks for posting that link.
