When changing to a short throw shifter, can you use your stock boot? If not, what kind do you get?

Does the stock shift knob just screw off and the boot then slides off? I cranked on mine pretty good and it didnt budge. Is there a lock nut underneath or somthing?

The feel depends on the shifter. My two favorites are UPR and Pro5.0.

Anyone here using the ecoshift shifter from late model? I've read good reviews on it and it's cheap for poor people like me lol.

Yeah.... Me. To me it feels similar to stock but with less leverage. I still miss 3rd, you don't want it.
