ok so i currently drive an automatic might buy this 5speed gt with a "short throw shifter" how much harder is it to drive with this done to it and how does it work?
Some "short throw" shifters are really just shorter handles, and if you're tall, it forces you to reach out of the seat to hit 3rd, which is pointless for anything except impressing teenagers with the snick-snick of your shifter in the parking lot of the local Sonic. A shorter throw is only beneficial if it helps you hit every gear, especially 3rd.
