Is that in a Jackie Chan flick or Lethal Weapon 3 where some dude gets his ace waxed by a guy with an antenna?

See, aren't you glad you took my "girlie" quick way out of shortening the antenna!!! lol It is a bit thicker and yes, with wind it bends...but it looks fairly normal when parked!

I did the same because my last mustang had a home-made cut off antenna, and reception was TERRIBLE, so I wanted to buy one that worked this time. I only paid $10 though from mustangtuning...I wouldn't have bought one for 20. There must have been a sale when I bought it.

I have my stock antenna in the garage now. That thing is so long you could use it for fencing. Maybe i'll glue a magnet on the end of it, and use it for picking up nuts and bolts in hard to reach places. That will put that thing to good use

If you get the one from Auto Zone, yes, you take off the stock antenna, then it comes with four adapters. You just screw one of them into the new antenna then screw the entire thing into your car-there's one that specifies it's for Ford. Simple as that!!!

Did the Mustang tuning antenna come that short? The pics on their site are a lot taller ("even with roof line") than the one in your pic

I got my shorty satin finished from 5.0resto I think. Like 20 bucks. Looks much better not like an RC car any more and reception is great.

All I can think is, of Bender saying "Leave my antenna alone. I like it the length nature gave me."

BEWARE!

Here is my AutoZone antenna after about three years!

Needless to say, MustangTunning will be getting some business from me.

I have actually done it a couple times. Ive done it with the one that looks like it has spirals, and the normal smooth black one. I just used JB Weld to hold the ball back on the top. Here is one that uses a hidden antenna. http://www.v6mustangstuff.com/Exterior3.htm Third one down on the list of parts
