The following website looks like a good place to get a short antenna. If anyone has ever used this site please advise. Antennas run around $10 for the stang and look good.

I shortened mine about even with the roof and used my grind wheel to get tip thin enough to reattach ball. When I got it thin enough there was a little hot metal at the tip and I guickly reinstalled ball while it was hot. worked perfectly. Have not had a reception problem. But I do live in fort lauderdale pretty big city.

a short antenna was the first thing i did... the stock one was way too long... if the antenna is taller than the roof it just looks screwed up. I bought a short fat one at California Car Cover for 20 bucks. Looks awesome.

I went with the UPR Billet shorty antenna. No reception problems here on Cape Cod.

i cut mine down to about 8-10 inchs tall and i still get all my channels and great reception. wasn't hard to do either just unscrewed the antenna knocked the ball off cut it filled the end of the antenna so the ball would fit again.. banged the ball a few times to make sure it was secure and the spray painted it ..... looks great and like it was bought straight through a company... no regrets

anyone know if the one off 50resto.com is the same as stock? That way if I cut mine wrong or something I could just spend $13 to get the stock one back.
