I own a roush stage 2 and I have the enhanced sound mufflers on the car wich are made by magnaflow. These mufflers sound awesoome but you cant here the car idle, but when you get on it its pretty loud. I was wondering if headers would make it any louder or just change the sound of the car.
Thank you, Kendall.

you can also change your midpipe. the four cats ar killing your volume. I was amazed at what an o/r midpipe did to the volume on my exhaust. I would do both headers and midpipe to be honest. now as to longtubes or shorties that is personal prefence. longtubes = more power but they are requier more install time, most brands you have to remove the passanger side header to pull the tranny. hooker is the exeption but it uses slip collectors. I am going to do jba shorties just because I don't like hooker headers and I don't what to have to pull a header to change my clutch. so I will sacrifice the 5hp to save my self labor down the road. bassani also makes a "mid" lenght but the data I saw had the gains about the same as the jba's for more money.

here is a good post on longtubes

if your going to do a job, do it right the first time and save yourself the regret of wishing you did something else later. Get the long tubes if you can afford the parts and labor (you have a roush stage 2 so I don't think you that bad finacially) ONCE AGAIN, get the LONG TUBES!!!!

headers.

Well whats so bad is i have a peiced together bassani x pipe. Its a universal peice that i got from dugan racing. My complete exhaust is peiced together however i dont have any cats on my car at all and i am running 2.5" aluminized pipe all the way back to the mufflers and stainless steel to the tips. I'm thinking of longtubes and a mac x pipe. I'm just wondering if the way that he has my exhaust put together if i'm loosing some sound there. Thank you Kendall.
