well i went in and looked at the 66 stang and what i found is ,, the pass front floor pan did have a hole in it,,, surface rust on front fender,,, wheel wheels had some rust as well the pannel behind teh rear quarter window looked like it had some rust bubbling up under it,,,the doors where in hinges are were fine and where they latched were fine.... trunk looked fine 2 me but i didnt get 2 look in teh tire well..... under teh hood looked good 2,,, car started rite up... and there were some ants living in there ,, the guy said the car sat 4 liek 2 years...

its a 66 6cyl 3 speed coupe he is asking 3 grand

i want 2 have a pro do the body work but i have no clue how much a good job is going 2 cost or if the car is even worth it

For a 6 cyl with that work to start, sounds like a lot to me. Is a vert or fastback even? Or coup?

Spend the money on something in better shape dude.... You will be happier in the end and it will eventually cost you less. I know it sounds backwards but it's true...and you will get to enjoy the car sooner. Ask me how I know.... I bought one that I should have RAN away from. It's all done now and I am enjoying it but a third world country could have lived off what I spent on this car. The cost of welding is ridiculous not counting the parts. Of course if you want a second opinion, get a guy from the local Mustang club to check it out. That guy can tell you more at a glance and what it might cost to get it driveable.

Don´t buy it, especially if you already have a 1990 GT, you will be very dissappointed with the 6 cyl. engine. Keep on looking you might find a better deal. My cousin´s neighbor sold his rust free 66 gt for $3000 when he lost his job.

dont give up....because you will find one when you least suspect it, thats what happend to me...its kinda like looking for a girlfriend, the harder you look the less success you have, then when you least suspect it and have given up hope, one comes along..i know i know, cheesy analogy, but true haha...dr. phil has left the building

Gotta look outside Jersey.

Don't pay for rust unless it is really a rare car. 6 cylinder Mustangs are not rare.
