I was wondering if I should take off the tailpipes and just run dumped flowmasters.
With the results from the track and my inspection sticker good for another year should I remove my tailpipes and just install turndowns???

Is there any advantages to turndowns? besides it being louder?

Less restriction, but really, only high HP race cars would see true benefits by doing this. For a stang, do it based on sound preference.

Has anybody done the oil-drum cap mod to their mufflers? I'd really like to do that to mine but it'd have to be done while they were on the car.

I had dumped 2-chamber Flows and hated them. Way too loud with way too much drone. I now have dumped Dynomax Ultraflows and like them. They are relatively loud, but with no significant drone.
