Holy crap what a deal.

I was 17 when I bought my car. I'm 20 now, and I can tell you what, be sure you look at that car really carefully

I was 17 when i bought my gt, and didnt look close enough at it. I'm 20 now and have a much better knowledge of mustangs and im going to pick this thing apart and see if i can find anything wrong. If its just something minor, ill take it and fix it, but if it was raped as bad as the dsg today, im gonna run as fast as my 4x4 will let me, which isnt fast.

It's the mileage that counts here.

I wont be dropping 20k. Im trading off my 01 f150 that i should get around 15-16k for which would leave me financing only about 13-15k, which is good in my book.

I would man, Mach's are really nice. Probaly the best limited run of the new edge bodystyle, non SVT/Saleen/Roush/Steeda wise.

Plus they are fast as hell, seen alot of mid 12 second timeslips with just exhaust, gears, and sticky tires.

Well i didnt get the mach today. Went there and they were only gonna give me around 10k for my truck. The car was in very nice shape, except it had some strobe lights and i believe at one point had neons on it. Some rich kid bought it brand new for he said 32k because his gma is loaded. Now he has a 2500hd duramax. o well. Looks like i might have to settle for a black gt i found for 12k.

10k for your truck is a great trade in value, spot on fair price. The price you quoted in the thread earlier (15-16k) is COMPLTELTY UNREALISTIC and insane. If you want that kind of coin you will have to take the time to sell it yourself.

If they offered your truck plus 10k for the Mach and you walked on that deal you are crazy my friend...

Bottom line: if you owe more than 10-12k on your truck you are upside down on it and when you are upside down it is time to be making double payments not thinking about trading. You have a lot to learn IMHO mr 20 year old...

The only thing I could be missing here is that I could have used a bit more details when appraising your truck. Feel free to supply them: mileage, options, zip code, trim package, 2wd or 4wd, condition, etc.

All that I know is they had an 04 Azure Blue mach with 3500 miles at a dealer around here for $21,000.

That was from a Ford dealer, this one looks like a cheapo dealer imo. Not a bad price but you can do better imo.

Trade in value on my truck is 15k due to it being 4x4, leather, 4 door, and the 5.4 v8. I wouldnt have been so mad, but he showed me the trade in value on paper then told me he wouldnt go over 10k because he wanted to make a minimum of 5-6k off of my truck. I have been finding alot of mach's pretty cheap around here but im looking for a 5spd and that was the only 5spd i have found under about 22k. Guess i will keep looking around and try to find an idiot to take my truck off my hands.

It wouldnt be so hard for me to buy a car, its just im stuck with this damn truck that nobody seems to want, I wish i could just find a dealer or somebody to buy it off of me, then i could just go buy a car and not worry about them being asshats about me trading off my truck. their only reason for not wanting it is that its "personalized" O well ill find one sooner or later, until then ill break the bank on gas lol

I'm not too impressed. 20k seems too much for me. You could pick them up for 25k new.

You could buy a cobra for that much.

Without my indash, wheels/tires, paint, exhaust, and bedcover it comes to around 13k. If i had my new debit card i'd throw it on ebay, but im afraid itd cost a crapload to put it on there. Anyone had experience with putting a vehicle on ebay? I dont wanna sell it on there then have them take a crapload of money from me and i dont make much.

it costs around 100 bucks when all is said and done. if you dont sell it you will only lose 40. and you will get some info on people that would be interested. i unfortunately earn a living selling and trading cars at a dealer. they prob gave that kid 15 grand for the mach 1. did you ask them for the carfax. if not you could always bring that up. they will have a hard time selling it with an accident on it. if they are like any dealer after the car sits there for a month they will take a 500 dollar deal to get rid of it. more so because they are not a ford dealer. wait them out. they prob have your info and if the salesman is smart enough when they get desperate they will call you.
