As you guys know with my stock shocks and struts I pulled out 1.8 60' with 13.5 1/4 mile ET.
After I got my cams done I got more power but I also upgrade to KYB AGX ADJ shocks and struts. I am not having good luck with this shocks and struts.

It's been over 6 months and now I had it. I am just sick and tired of KYB AGX ADJ cause I cannot dial in for launch. I haven't got 1.8 60' for more then 6 months now and tonight I went to the track and ran 7 run with best 2.0 60' and 14.1-14.3 1/4 mile ET.

I tried all the setting but couldn't so *****. I am going to take this KYB ***** out of my car and put something else where I don't have to fu** around with settings.

I want to change just back for now and thinking Lakewood drag shocks. My car is DD so want to make sure it's safe to use these shocks. Which model ? cause they are few

Thanks in advance

There has got to be a way to dial them in so they launch better than stock.

I've go those same shocks and struts, the last time I ran I was able to get below 14 with poor shifting. That was before my more serious upgrades.

Last time you posted you said you them set hard instead of soft. Did you try them full soft?

By no means do I have launching down to a science but I think I had one side stiffer than the other by 3-5 settings.

wow im really surprised here. The adjustable feature i think is the best thing the shocks have going for them, and u can really feel a difference with each setting. From my understanding, for drag racing, you would want the back on "1" (softest) and the front on "4" (hardest). W/O the correct setting, yea, your times will be worse. but i dont see how you can blame the shocks/struts when the whole point of their design is for ppl who drive on the street and like to race. What about your tires? Power levels Now? Gearing? Has any of this changed since u were on your stockers? just throwin it out there.. but iv only EVER had street tires, and with just a prochamber and tune (otherwise completely stock) i ran a 13.7 with a 2.0 60', but with ALL my other mods a year later (excluding only the LT's), and still on the same tires, I ran a 14.5 with a 2.6 60'. Do i go replace my shocks because of this? i dont think so. Now your situation might be completely different but still, if you got the shocks because of lowering, that would hurt your times as well.

I got MT ET STREET 275-40-17 on my stock rims . Today I was thinking and realize that may car did hook but bog my car down bad. I did all my launch over 4000rpm and every time my rpm drop like crazy. Maybe I just suck at racing
