Unfortunately I learned something new today. I cut out the drivers side cowl panel on my 67 mustang due to a few bad spots. When the new one I ordered came in yesterday, I immediately noticed it is too narrow to fill the area I had cut out. This is the same replacement pnael that is advertised to be used on 64-68 mustangs. Has anyone else ran into this same problem? Seems that I am either forced to butt weld the remaining 4inches or so onto the new panel, or build my own out of sheetmetal to elliminate having such a long butt weld. As you can see, the replacement panel I bought should go all the way over to the other (cab side) mating flange which covers up the door hinge bolt access hole. Any recommendations? Thanks
