I am planning to run the Silver State Challenge as soon as I can get my Stang prepped. It would be great to get input from those who have done it it a similar ride. Anyone with input on that?

Kudos to you...

That takes some guts and skills so do your homework.

I've never done it but I am always impressed with people that take their classic out for a run against the italian exotics.

i have not done it yet, but start by deciding what speed class you intend to run in, 95, 100, 105, etc. then get a set of rules for that class so you can pass tech inspection. one thing to keep in mind, if you go, and you get a speeding ticket before the event while in town there, you will be disqualified from running the silver state. just ask stacy david.

Yes,
I am doing my homework. The rule book is a good read. A friend of mine does Bonneville evey year, so I have a little speed experience to tap. He will ride along as navigator. I will be very pleased to pass tech and run in any touring division.
rbhom; I have the same pic as your avatar in my desktop. Are you an airplane nut or mechanic? I am an A & P.
