Just wanted to tell everyone that I installed some 9007 SilverStars in my '04 GT and coupled with the Fog Light Mod, it is a NOTICEABLE improvement over the stock headlights. Definately worth the $24.99 I bought them for today (Buy 1 get 1 Half off sale at Advance Auto Parts coupled with a $5.00 mail in rebate)
I can't see spending $300 on an HID setup and the high wattage bulbs worried me and I didn't feel they made that much of a difference, these do.
If you aint got them.....GET 'EM!!

They're definately have a noticable difference between stock.

It's a bummer the design of the 99+ headlight yields for some pretty sh1tty night 'vision' which can make for some interesting driving out on dark roads.

Great! I'm anxious to see some more people's thoughts on these bulbs. I recieve my headlight and foglight bulbs in 3 days, so this is good news!

They are the "better" look-a-like HID bulbs. They light up pure white in colour, none of that bright blue ricer crap.

They are brighter than stock but not a real big deal really. Been using them for 2+ years.

Have you had to change the bulbs yet?

I think they look good too, just keep your headlight lense clean because it lights up all the dirt.

I have em in my fox, and along with new headlight housings they made the headlights on my car MUCH more effective. I like the silverstars.

SilverStar headlights and fogs. The passenger fog was misaligned.

Yes, headlights and fogs. 9007 and 893 respectively. However, I had the fogs blow out a month after I got them (Over a year ago now) and they told me it was a manufacturing defect. I was told they could either refund me (since I ordered through their website) or they'd sent a free set once they resolved the defect 6 weeks later. 6 weeks later I call again, they say it'll be another 6 weeks so I asked for my money back and bought a $10 pair of Sylvania regular bulbs. I don't know if they solved the issue but the Silverstar fog bulbs matched the Silverstar headlights perfectly. nice and white. During the day they look yellow, unlike real HIDs.

These pics were when I replaced my stock fog housings with crystal clear ones.

Fog Light Mod: Cut one terminal off of the Fog Light Relay which keeps the fogs on when your high beams are on.

Please don't make this into the whole..."Is this legal thread" either.

#1: These are NOT HID Bulbs.
#2: They do NOT look like the Blue Bulbs you get off of eBay.
#3: They do produce a WHITER light which is SIMILAR in appearence to HID.
#4: They do produce a light which is easier to see.
#5: Do NOT buy these expecting yourself or people to go:"WOW, are those HID Lights?" cause it wont happen and you will enjoy them more without using that mindset.

Is the wattage the same? I had tried higher watt bulbs in another car and it fried the harness.

The silverstars are 55/65 watt. I have silverstars in mine. I had some 80/100 watt off brand in mine for a week and they were not as bright as the silverstars. Thanks mcm for the mod. Thats alot easier then the convertible top wire splice that was in that other thread

Hmmmmmm

I thought i saw a thread a while back that was about stangers who had problems with Silverstars as in they were not lasting very long before they burned out. Has this problem been fixed by the manufacturer??? I wanted to buy them for mine but not if they were going to burn out so quickly. Peace out
