That was only a foglight issue, the headlights have been fine for me for 2+ years. The foglights died in a month but I bought them online from Sylvania before they were even available in stores. I don't know if the issue is fixed now, I'm fine with the $10 Sylvania replacement junkers I got.

I have Silverstars in headlight (9007), fog (880) and turn signal (3157 I believe). There is a noticable improvement over the stock bulbs but I agree, they don't throw nearly the amount of light HIDs do.

It's a bummer the design of the 99+ headlight yields for some pretty sh1tty night 'vision' which can make for some interesting driving out on dark roads.

You think the 99+ headlights are bad?! Try my old 98 GT with Clear Cobra Lights...you can't see @#$% out of that thing at night. They were ultra bright for like 5ft in front of the car... The 99+ lights are MUCH better i think

I put 9007 Silverstar bulbs in my headlights last week, big improvement over stock. I had HID's on my last car, they "look" the same with the color temperature and such but they do not illuminate the road as well. Are these bulbs worth it IMO? Sure are. Are HID's? Eh, if you do alot of night driving or if you got a showy car go for it...but 300-400 bucks is alot of cash for fancy light-ma'bobs...

There is an 880 bulb that works but it's not the same wattage as the 893 bulbs we technically are supposed to use. I don't know if the 893's are fixed but people use the 880's without issue I think.

Well I picked mine up and put them in today. Not much better but you know, not much worse than the stock ones. So oh well, another happy customer.

I have had my Silverbulbs for more than
a year now and they have not burnt out
so,I would say I am very happy with these bulbs!

I've found that silverstars work better in some cars than others. There was a nice improvement for my 04 GT, but hardly any in my 97 Grand Marquis. Ended up using Sylvania XL for that one. BTW, the Marquis had lousy lights on low beam but really good on high beam. My 97 Thunderbird which had the worst lights of all time responded well to the silverstars. I buy them at Wal-Mart so I can run them for a week to see if they worth it in each car-no problem with return if I don't like them. I've had the same set in my wife's Explorer for over 3 years, so no problem in longevity there.

Question: Is there much difference with the clear style fog lamps? The stock fluted lamps are a joke and are for looks only.

I have some, just need to get new lenses cause ours are crap. They are all hazed up and crappy looking!

Clear fog housings are so much nicer looking. Stock ones are foggy like milk.

I paid 75 shipped on eBay. My stock fogs were fogging up so instead of buying stock lenses again I got aftermarket

If you have lowered your car you might want to adjust the headlights up. mine is lower in the front then the back and made the headlights dive down, had to raise them . makes a difference

I put all silverstar 6 bulbs in today and it looks so much better than my 106k mile o.e. lights. The roads are wet out and I can actually see my headlight beam, which i could never do before(finally, a clear-amber bulb for clear corners too).
