18 * * *

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1 Section 2. Title 75 is amended by adding a section to read:
2 § 3720. Nitrous oxide system.

10 from the vehicle.

I read that as..... the NOS system can be in place, but the bottle can not be anywhere near the line while the car is on the public roads. Bottle can't be in car unles syou are going to or returning from the track or other form of sanctioned competition. And if you get stopped for speeding, and the tank it hooked up racing or not, your fine is way higher.

ie.. this is another ticket to write up street racers with. To legitamate racers this will have zero or near zero impact. I don't see it being all that big of a deal. You just can't drive around the streets with your nitrous hooked up anymore.

if you can hide all the plumbing in the engine bay and make an OBVIOUS line routing to the "intercooler" or radiator you can be fine. reading the exact wording is that the law prohibits use of nitrous systems. a system is classified (per their own law) and a system that combines nitrous oxide and gasoline to create more power.

this leaves a segway for nitrocoolers for the IC on blowers, etc. so if you are crafty enough you can get away with it.
