I have seen on some 99-04 stangs a strut tower brace that is a single bar style. Anyone know a vendor that sells either a chrome or color powder coated single strut bar that fits the new edge 4.6 stangs?
I realize strut bars on these models are mostly for looks ;)
Thanks in advance

Steve

From what I understand on the 99-04 stangs none of them are really functional and I prefer the look of the single, especially as it doesn't block as much of the view of the motor.

Just look one up thats for a Mach 1. They can't use a 3 point because of the shaker set up.

Not functional? How so? Your tying the strut towers together(and they do flex) increasing the rigidity of the chassis. This allows the suspension to do its job better. If I remember right, the 96-97 had a strut bar from the factory but they quit doing that in 98 to save a buck.

I was going by what other forums were saying about the new edge design not needing it and that they only made a good handle to hang onto when working on the engine LOL :
