well my car is almost done with modifications to where I want it. But my car is way slow off the line and yes I know the AOD has alot to do with it but financially I am in not in the market to do a T5 swap so I was thinking gears was the answer. Here's my question check my mods in the sig and let me know what size gears to go with I was told 4.10's but if I plan on doing a t5 swap sometime in the near future is 3.73's the way to go? any input would be very much appreciated thanks

a stall converter replaces the torque converter thats in the AOD, If you drive you car and stop, hold the brake and gradually push on the gas, you will notice the rpms will build up and the car wont move, AODs stall around 1500-1600

after 1500 or so the car will either move fowards or break the tires loose.
So a highers stall converter, say a 3000 stall will allow the tranny to "slip" allowing the rpms to be around 3000 without car moving. this 3000 rpm at a lauch is very good as it gets you right in the powerband quickly.

Think of a stall as a milder "dump of the clutch"
