I have a UPR O/R X pipe, and flowmaster 40 weld-ins. I might replace my aftercar section and flowmasters with the SLP aftercat.

How does it sound? TOO loud? What kind of sound?

I had the SLP o/r x and cat back for about 3 days. Very loud and raspy above 2500 rpm. It was hard to keep the car quiet. I would suggest you hear it before buying it.

Love it......if you want a muscle car exhaust where people hear you coming from a good ways away......get it

Edit: I don't have them personally but I have heard nothing but good things about them

I have the full SLP setup and it was very loud and VERY RASPY without cats. I got cats from SLP and bolted them in and now it sounds amazing 100% better. I lost very little time at the track with the cats and you can feel no difference....just MUCH better sound.

To sum it up...you might not want to get it without cats. The quality is excellent and it sounds amazing after my changes.

The cats that SLP uses are high flow, they don't make it sedate and quiet like other systems, they just cut down on the uneven raspy sound. I've got the catted x and loudmouth on right now, and I have the longtubes in my toolshed, waiting to be installed when I get a day off finally (damn election year).

Ya..sorry i didnt mean it quieted it down at all because it didnt. But loud exhaust doesnt bother me. The cats will get rid of the rasp though.

Yeah my friend has one on his 01 WS6 and i hate it. VERY loud, raspy, crackles alot. Just overall not a good sound IMHO. Granted that car has over a litre of displacment on us. Some people, like him, go for it, but not me. Just my .02

I have only heard the clip on mustang exhaust.com........both the idle and the launch sound incredible. I personally love the sound, but then again, I am a muscle car guy and don't like to hear exhaust that screams. Just my opinion but I think it is the best I have heard in terms of what I am looking for.

i have the slp loudmouth catback with mac prochamber installed like 2 weeks ago. absolutely love it. best sounding mustang i've heard and stop everything to listen to a stang when it goes by. at about 1800 rpms it's starts to purr. when u get on it..especially in 1st it roars. i drive through my college campus on the way home and when i step on it everybody looks...stares...best compliment i had was two guys on the steps of their dorm building say "damn what they hell he got in that thing...f***ing american muscle...never too loud

Just my opinion i think it sounds a bit too high pitch. If you like that circletrack racecar sound then thats for you but if you want the old musclecar sound, an H-pipe and dronemasters are for you. I took the old musclecar route. the choice is yours

See SLP exhaust clip in my sig (I love advertising SLP with this clip of this guys car) But anyway, this guy has FULL SLP exhaust (not sure if he has cats or not) but also has Stage 2 Cams.

Check sig.
