MY BUDDY HAS A 03 MACH 1 AND HE JUST BOUGHT SLP LONGTUBE HEADERS AND FULL EXHAUST SYSTEM. JUST WOUNDERING IF ANYONE HAS DONE THIS INSTALL ON THESE CARS AND WHAT TO EXPECT. AND ALSO WHAT KIND OF POWER TO EXPECT GAINING.

YOU CAN EXPECT TO DROP THE K-MEMBER TO INSTALL THE HEADERS

i'm sure the install is similar to gt's but a mach1 *might* be different, i doubt it

might want to ask in the mach1 forum first

AND DON'T TYPE IN ALL CAPS:notnice:

ive done this install before. definately have to drop the k-member. you will have to bend the dipstick to get it to fit, you can also jsut get a Lokar flex dipstick. o and an alignment after is a must because you will be taking the whole from suspension apart.

i just did the whole slp package this weekend, headers,x pipe,catback...on a 02 sstang gt...total time was about 13 hours, drop the whole entired front suspension including k member...search for my thread about header install any tips and theres a link thats a excellant write up on it...and if you put everything back correctly you wont have to get a alignment...i was done and took it for a drive, steering wheel was straight and car drove straight...and all this was done in a driveway with jacks, jack stands and hand tools...be paitnet and have fun, oh and when dropping, and installing the k member, it is much easier with a buddy, i did it bymyself, killed some time, but its not that bad

eveything here is correct. i was told because of the collector size being smaller on the slp headers that we might not need to drop the header to change the clutch...dont know how true that is.

what i do know is that he will experiance a serious kick in performance.:nice:
