Will this be a good combination?

How would it compare to an American Thunder Flowmaster catback on the same offroad X Pipe?

No plans for headers...

That exhaust set up is really loud. I would be afraid of getting pulled over, it definatly sounds like it is illegal.

Chris, it will be extremely loud.

SLP cb alone is loud.

I wouldn't worry about getting pulled over. But it will definitwely cause them to look at you more if they are around. Happend to me the other night. If you do get pulled over with an o/r pipe, I suggest turing your car off before the cop gets to your car.

You aren't going to notice the power difference by going with an X instead of H. H-pipe is deeper, where is the X pipe "may" sound raspier.

I don't get it, isn't aftermarket exhaust LEGAL? I understand the cat issue, but what the hell - Police just pull people over for having a loud car? I don't think this happens around me.

I guess if it is too loud and at a certain time, it may break a noise pollution violation or something like that.

Stay out of Morton and Springfield. They are a pain in the a$$.

I'm talking about X or STOCK H ... and I think an X will give much more power than the stock H, right Gene?

My choice here is our new brand of X pipe + SLP loud mouth, or the stock H + SLP loud mouth.

I'm very friendly with the police and I don't speed too much. If I do happen to get pulled over though, are they going to actually look under my car for cats?

I can think of plenty of setups that "should " be MUCH louder than people run... like dumps, or even just most setups with longtubes. Right guys? I really didn't think this X + Loudmouth was going to be on the incredibly loud side. I just thought it would make some noise.

Well somebody just tell me to do it and thats it perfectly legal and won't be too loud.

noise is relative to the cop ear...it's like blasting the sound in your car at 12 AM in a quiet street..u will get pulled over..and boom box are not illegal...

Oh and Gene - I'm gunna go with those deep dish black bullitts actually for my car, I think.... I'm hooked like a baby on candy after looking at tons of pictures of them.

I'll still hook you up with the Saleens though if you want, maybe I could even help sell those Cobra ones for you on the site or something?

Stallion - I would go with the matching set maybe if I wasnt in my current situation, but I just had these new X Pipes made for us by a local shop, and I'm really interested in seeing how they work and getting some sound clips up for them. I'm going to try to get one reviewed in Mustang Enthusiast magazine and all. Its a new product so I'm kind of going to experiment with it as opposed to buying an SLP x. The suggestion is very much taken though, and I may decide to carry the SLP X's if they are the best sounding pipe to match it.

Plus our X pipe is cheap. Those SLP stainless steel ones are very expensive.

I talked to Pete yesterday. He gave me a price that he thinks you guys get them for. He was just leaving work so he wasn't 100% sure on the number.

And I will probably just hold onto my rims if you don't want them. I could sell them in a heartbeat. But I may rather just have them instead of getting like $400 for them. I don't know, we'll see.
