Smog Pump Delete Question. Shorter Bell Or Smog Pump Delete Pulley ?

Should I use smog pump delete pulley or just run shorter bell. on my 85 mustang gt 5.0 5 speed

any advantage or disadvantages between these option ? I know if use smog pump delete pulley I can use stock size bell.

I heard say running shorter bell, can be hard on the bearing and can make the car on fire ?

I ran a short belt. It's super cheap to buy one rather than a smug pump delete pulley which tends to squeak. Do a search for belt routing and lengths.

Im with foxstang run a short belt those crappy delete pulleys don't last.
