I have recently added a new discharge tube and mini race bypass valve to my car and the smog pump lines are directly in my way. Is there any way that I can just cap off the lines and leave the smog pump there, but have it do nothing. If this can be done what would i have to do to the vacumm lines. Any help would be great.

As long as you bypass the pump- the answer is yes. You could remove all the rubber smog lines altogether and leave the tube that connects to the heads hanging open- it has a one way valve in it. I would just spend the $40 at summit ans buy the smog pump delete....or get a short belt.

Just run a shorter belt. What's the point of have it there doing nothing, plus I will save a little weight of the front.

Yeah. It should fit in place of the smog pump. It uses the same bolts and everything.

I'm with Will. Why not just remove the pump, put a shorter belt on, cap (or remove and cap) the lines and be done with it?

I would not have guessed that a blower bracket would mount to the casing of another accessory. Thanks for the visual shtty.
