1. How much could I expect to pay for a set of smoked headlights?

2. Do they greatly reduce the light and therefore the visibility?

A guy is offering to swap my clear lenses and $100 for a set of smoked. I'm leaning away from the deal.

smoked headlamps

I recently swapped my clears for smoked headlamps and I think the smoked ones off the newer stangs shine alot brighter and farther. The $100 swap you mention is a good deal go for it! I bought mine for $160 and sold my clears on ebay for $120 so they only cost me 40 bucks!

$100 bucks isn't too bad, considering it's less hassle. It's your call on how much your time is worth.

As far as brightness goes, I noticed no difference in low beams or high beams with brightness. But I drive around with just the markers and fog lights on most of the time, those fogs are bright as hell

If you don't I will. Normally they cost ~$250 each !

I swapped my clear for a set of smoke and never looked black. They just look so much better as far as appearance. Especially on a black vert. I don't really care if it affected my visability or not. I couldn't tell anyways. Got mines off a local ad brand new OEM for 100 bucks. To me that's a steal. The guy really wanted 200 bucks but I talked him down. He said I'm lucky because he really needed the money therefore he sold them to me for a bill. Otherwise he would've never sold them that cheap.

What's the condition of the smoke lights? Used or new? OEM or aftermarket. I would stay away from the aftermarket ones if I were you. I hear stories of water leaking into them and creating moisture and fog inside. Get OEM, they are better quality.
