smoking egr? help..

Recently replaced my engine after I blew it up from a kenne bell trip. When I fire the car up it idles alright, but after a couple of mins smoke starts to come out of the egr and after I shut the car off and feel where it meets the plenum its hot as hell, I know some heat should be felt but whoa... Any ideas on why this could be happening....

Also after the engine install the clutch pedal is way weird, guessing its the cable... how hard is that adjust, I will probably get the steeda one but for now I need a stock fix.

When I replaced the exhaust on one of my cars I damaged the pipe that runs from the exhaust to the EGR. Basically I had broken the pipe weld on the EGR. This would explain the smoke. I could barelly see the crack in the weld so look carefully.

the egr is probally smoking becuase you have gotten some oil or grease on it.As far as getting hot.Its suppose to .It does have exhaust gas running to it..
