I picked up an 01 dash today to swap into my fox. I have done some research and found a couple issues that I need help with. I could really use help from anyone that has attempted this before.
First, I have seen many issues with the defrost vents. People either cut a gap in the dash which doesn't look good or just don't use it. I personally want defrost so has anyone cut in new vents before? Or is there another fix I don't know about?
Next, can I use the 01 steering column? I would prefer to keep all the pieces alike but will go with the 91 if I need to. Is it possible to hook up the gauges and ignition switch of the 01? jrichker might be able to answer this one better.
I will cross the door panel issue later but I will see if I can adapt the SN panels into the 91.
My goal is to adapt the newer dash into the fox and keep all amenities. I know it would look cool either way but I want functionality even if it has become a weekend warrior.
