SN95 horse removal

how the heck can i take out the horse in front of the car...on my 94... i want to delete it,not break it off(in case i want to put it back on)....
its star threaded but has like a metal stopper from putting anything in it...like they didnt want it to be removed??

I'll go look at my car in a bit to see ... Is it like a torx head with a center pin looking deal? Do the 'stars' look like the ones on your MAF? If so, you need a set of (safety torx) I think they are called. Any auto parts store has em' ...

its a security torque piece (well thats wot its called in the UK) there should be 2 or 3! i cant remember!

once uve undone them the whole assembly comes off the car! open the hood before you do it tho!

takes 5 mins max!

Yes they are called security torx. You can get a security torx socket set from just about any parts store.

all above are right but i would suggest maybe borrowing one if you can cause you have to buy a set of them and its close to $30. And for really a one time use it may not be worth it. My MAF sensor didnt have the security type holding it in so they were no use on that.

or some like me theyre called tamper proof torx and actually theres a lot of stuff ford puts them kind of fastners on but you can go to like a flea market and pick up a set for like 7 bucks and some times a hardware store has them peice by peice good luck
