One more thing on removing airbags. It is legal to remove the airbags and/or not replace them after an accident. They passed this law because smaller people and kids can get hurt by the first gen airbag. All of the cars now have second gen which explode in you face a tad bit softer.

lol a tada bit softer thats good to know, anyone ever been hit by an airbag? could it really save u or cause more injury?? i would think the seatbelt could stop u and i always wear my seatbelt if i get in my car driving and not whereing my seatbelt i dont feel right i feel free i dont like it i just put my seatbelt on, but i also hate the 87 style wheel the 93 is better but still has nothing special

Look at some videos of airbags going off in collisions vs those that are not. I personally believe they are effective at reducing head injury. If you have an airbag, the airbag acts like a buffer for your head similar to what a helmet provides. With no airbag, your head goes crashing forward into the steering wheel, potentially causing major head injury. I still hate my 93 steering wheel though, lol.

Hmmm, I was always told this could not be done without MAJOR remodeling of the steering column and everywhere around it.

Do you have to use the whole SN-95 column?

Is it possible to do it and have the airbag still work?

And how about the cruise control?

Does the tilt steering steering work from the SN-95? Of course that would be moot if you are not using the whole column.

I have always hated the steering wheels in the 90-93 cars, could Ford have put a more boring wheel in there?

I have the 87-89 style wheel on my 90...looks alright but the rear of it doesn't line up with the piece comin off of the instrument cluster cuz of the design change.

Air bag hurting people is rare and is more common in women. They tend to sit closer to the steering wheel and they are pushed back by the bag instead of falling into it after it is deflated. A few bruises is better than eating steering wheel, IMO.

REMEMBER always disconnect the batry and wait about 10 minutes before doing airbag work! Or removing/installing an airbag.

i forget the ladys name but ill call her lady lol. the lady was driveing and the rest of the peoples was in the car with her she crashed but no one died shes stuck becasue a wood pole is over her leg and a pole behind her head. the firedepartment tries to break the door open and then the air bag pops her head into the pole killing her. lol that was hard to explain its been a wile since i seen it to and my english sucks when i dont know any names.
