Im getting some really loud popping noice, that i guess can be borderline backfiring in my exhaust when im decceleration from like 2500, it doesnt happen all the time but enough to notice that its not normal. what can this be?

The computer has a strategy for deceleration from speed with the car in gear (since a rich condition wants to occur since the engine is pumping but the throttle blade is closed). It is actually kind of an involved dynamic. Anyhow, I have the feeling that it is a rich backfire of sorts. RGS is right about the lack of muffling and that you might not have noticed this on a smog equipped car. Not that this means it is ok or anything.

I would yank codes and run through a tank of gas in case you got some funky stuff. They use all sorts of blends around here, and sometimes they do some funky stuff to the cars or bikes.

Good luck.

Since you say it just started, and you've had the catless pipe for a while, I'm gonna say it's not just exhaust related. Pull the codes, you might have a sensor going out, causing a rich condition. When my maf went out, I was getting some mad popping too. Also, check for any exhaust leaks, these can cause popping too depending on the severity of them.
