The past 5.0 Mag had a good article on this. The company used, Razor's Edge Motorsports, is not far from me. The car in the article was at our local weekly car meet. It is an '04 Cobra with Whipple S/C, Meth in kit, and NOS.

I just got done chatting with Eades5.0, and he swears by that thing...For under $500 installed, I may go with this for now, and see how everything goes.

Any opinions on this kit, suggestions or advice?

That looked pretty interesting to me. Those results were pretty good, wonder what it would do on a 5.0
this the site? here

IMO for the money of a kit you can't beat it. they seem to do wonders on cars with a blower or turbo. i wonder what kind of gain it would have on a n/a motor?

I strongly dislike Razors Edge. And RC if your looking to buy one used, on all our local forums a guy by the name of wiz is selling a kit that was on his 03 cobra.

Eades 5.0 is making 550+ with S-trim and 331...He runs tons of timing, pump gas, has 10-11's AFR and has NO detonation.

Kevin: tell me about Razor's Edge. The 03 used I believe is their stage 2 kit, not stage 1.

Donkey Punch: Like a BTM, it senses boost, and sprays (cools) accordingly.
Therefore, I dont know the N/A use for this.

Troy: See if you can find out if it helps the ECT temps at all....Am issuming that it may, since the "spark" temp is cooler.

Thanks

Youd be better off spending the money elsewhere if you still n/a. You wont see anything near the gains that the FI guys are getting.

I brought my car to RE to get my car tuned orignally. First time I got there after driving forever and even though I had an appointment their was another car on the dyno so I had to wait my turn. No big deal, so we hung out at the shop. Other car got off and then they we have to close no, we wouldnt want to rush on your car to just get it done and none of us want to stay overtime so just rescedule. Great, drove my hour and a half or whatever back home and rescheduled. That time it seemed like I knew more then about what they were doing then they did. My graphs were all over the place and my power started at 322 and was up to 367 but when we were finished it was back to 329 or something. The guy didnt really seem to know what was going on. Oh well my car was tuned so I was happy that I would finally be able to beat on it. WRONG......2 weeks later I blew my first headgasket. Fixed it and went back and they tried tuning it again. Went to the track this time and the car trapped around 112. Anyways the car stalled while driving, didnt idle , sucked gas like crazy so I decided to buy a tweecer. With my little tuning knowledge the car idled better and was much more reliable. Plus my car was trapping almost 115 with my only change being the tweecer. I think they are pretty decent with 4.6's cause alot of lightnings and 03-04 cobras go there but they jsut seemed lost with my out of date 5.0.

Eades didn't run that much timing compared to what could have ran. You have to remember Eades only has 42# inj. This is one of the reason why he didn't run most boost or timing. He car is capable of 650rwhp or more if he had the fuel to support it. If I had a blown car, I would not think twice about buying the snow kit. It is cheap and very easy to install from what I hear.

Thanks Dustin.

Kevin: from what I understand, they should be able to tune the car with the TwEECer already in it. I know a couple of those guys from Towers, and Im hoping they may help....if not, Ill look elsewhere.

Keven

Thats a bunch of the way they treated you the first time.

Same thing can be said about the second time from the sounds of what results they gave you in the tune.

I've seen this many times from peeps on various sites. I've seen many of the guys who get into self tuning post about how far the tune was off on the chip that they paid good money for.

I guess getting a tune is like a lot of other things in the fact that even though you pay good money for a service, that don't mean you get your moneys worth.

If that place is in the business of tuning Fords, they ought to be able to tune a push rod motor as well as a mod motor.

You now have the ability to tune your combo to YOUR satisfaction

Just talked to a local guy with a 4.6l 500HP Strim combo... He just bought the stage 2 kit from R.E. and put it in himself...He said "It's the best inventions since sliced bread....I cant believe I didnt do this sooner." He said If I "splurge" on the $399 kit, he will come and help me put it in. Man, $400 for 50+ of the safest ponies money can buy...

$8 per HP, not too shabby

<-- Thinks buying the "Kits" is a big waste of money water/meth injection works. Just dont waste your money on a kit you can get all the parts they sell you for much cheaper and put together your own kit. Just my 2 cents.
I should really shut my mouth and start making these kits because people seem willing to pay way to much for them.
