its a 88...my dad was telling me about it

from what he said its black on black LX vert...5.0 auto. with low miles. un sure of interior color...with some chrome wheels of some sort. and in really good condition..for $1,500 so..i may buy it to sell it after i enjoy it for a bit...but where going to look at it soon..this is kinda on of them barn finds...but it was tucked in the corner of a garage. dont these in really good shape with low miles go for round 4,000 towards upards of 8,000?

Keep shopping. You're just going to wind up pouring a ton of time and money into it and still just winding up with a 'vert that won't be worth a whole lot of $$$ when all is said and done. Stick it out a bit longer for a notch or at least a hatch Fox.

its not bad. really at all. its 141k so not low miles. black paint. that look good but has some minor scuffs here and there. UGLY AS HELL WHEELS!!!! i still hav e aset of turbines so no biggey there. its got a dynomax cat back..then to clamed on some vato zone nasty tips on the dynomax cat back!!!! then the interior has grey GT tweed seats. and other then that is stock. but. the wheels would have to go..and headlights need replaced because the driver side has turned into a fish tank. so.. this is all stuff i could fix in a weekend..and have a decent driver.
also..all the way aroung tinted windows..driven by an old man who passed away tuesday from a heart attack.

they asking 1,500 and are firm. think if i bought this..cleaned it up...come spring i could sell it for a profit? people who are selling it works with my dad and there good friends. has been in the family since 2 years old..and its a 89 not an 88...so its mass air.

gonna go back in the day time and look it over better. took it for a drive..and it drives smooth..they paid 900 bucks though to have water pump replaced though!!!

the tips are GHEY! and there over a nice dynomax catback!

also...consider i paid 1,600 for my vert when it didnt run..had no top..and was rusted...

How's it look under the hood and under the car? Rust city? Dirty? Or is it clean?

If there's no major rust, then $1500 is decent. You could prob clean it up nicely, put some decent wheels on it (10-holes at least) and get it running nice and sell it for maybe $2500. I dunno if you'll make more than that. I figure you might need to put a few hundred, so any profit you get would be minimal. I wouldn't buy it to flip.

bottoms of door are perfect. deck lid perfect.. floor pans. from what i could see from crawling on the ground very nice..and yes..the auto kinda kills it..but everyone knows this wouls just be something fun to drive till spring then sell and buy what i planed on. then if weather is really bad i still have the ranger to drive. tops nice too.. runs and drives great.. i just know the mod bug will hit me sooner or later with me...and i just want a clean driver!

and profit is still profit! plus fun factor of a vert 5.0 again to cruise in whats left of nice weather..ice cold a/c and hota s hell heat. every window goes up and down like new...was a shock to me!

Don't buy the car to flip it. Buy it to KEEP it. Unless you're scoring it for an insanely cheap price and the investment is minimal (like the S10 Blazer I bought for $350, put in a couple hundred bucks, and sold for $1,000), you're going to only be taking a loss if you turn around and go selling it in the spring. Either keep looking for something you want to actually keep, or forget about flipping this car. The resale on Fox 'verts is crap, especially automatics - those were always the two biggest gripes everyone had when I was trying to sell mine ("It's nice, but I don't really like 'verts and I really hate automatics..."). You'll spend forever trying to sell it and either end of barely breaking even or actually taking a loss on it.

Honestly ... for $1,500, I would almost be tempted to snap it up if I were in your shoes. But I definitely wouldn't be looking to flip it. I'd fix it up and just drive the snot out of it. Learn from my mistakes. Don't be a Dave and work yourself into a position of impossible debt and wasted time/energy by constantly buying cars, fixing them off, and then selling them off at a loss or break-even price as soon as the car's decent. You'll just wind up a broken, poor, miserable old man at age 30 like me.

yea that doesnt sound to bad. its to bad the interior isnt black cuz triple black( black top, black exterior, and black interior) are more rarier than the grey interior
i say got for it. loose the rims. clean it. replace headlites and those tailpipes lol

i never had a problem selling verts or autos...try though..auto kills it for alot of people. but..still 1,500...i put about 500 into it and i have a nice stock driver..then mid spring..sell it. even for like 3k..that still money in my pocket. well bank..plus the fun factor of having another fox to drive.
