jebus... Right now I'm paying about $7000 a year for rent. Yeah it's a nice place and all but still. However those more fancy buildings means I have this stupid lady asking me to clean my windows every week and to make sure I heat the place during the day so the "hardwood floors don't bind" lol

I should have enough cash for down payment on a home by spring (got 5k saved up but want 10k). I don't have any debt either and whatever cash I waste in the Cougar (4k budget for this car) is paid for in cash. I think I may go back to my parents place for a summer so I can put even more money aside and have about 15k or more in the bank before I apply for a morgage. What I'm thinking for a first home is a mobile home, around here they have nice ones with a garage that go for cheap. I could live in this for 3 or 4 years, sell and then buy my first real home. That way I won't loose money because I will be able to sell the home for the same price I paid (or more). Currently I live alone and I'm not too sure about the girlfriend so I'm still planning my future to be lived alone. I mean I don't want to depend on anybody for buying my own home, that way if the G/F doesn't work out, I can kick her out hehe

If you got a garage.. it's #1! Good tho about the G/F thing.. anyway.. you could always get a king sized bed and have your playground

Yup a garage would be sweet. My cousin just sold her mobile home which got me mad because I would have liked it but it was too soon for me.

Anyway it was a large one with a HUGE land, the neighbors are far away and beyond the backyard is a huge field and beyond that it's a corn field lol Her garage was big enough for two cars, and had a 2nd floor with, get this, a 3 1/2 apartment on top of the garage. I would have put a wet bar, pool table and big screen tv upstairs in the garage. So the house can stay clean during parties... She sold it for 67,000 bucks grrrrrrrrrr

I'm renting too but I love my place too much to leave , I have a small heated garage and a Music room , it's all it matters for me at this time and I pay $550.00 monthly so it's fair enough for me , if I ever move it will be for a house but I'm not in a hurry , I've been here for a year now and love my place..
