Fuel pump is not turning on....It is time to either order a new FP from summit so I can get my car on the road or track down the blown fuse...I tried to check for a blown fuse for the fuel pump but I cant find one and dont know which one it would be. I just want my car back so which should I do.....

**REMINDER** Im broke so its no good to get this FP and have it be a fuse or wait another day or two and track it down and have wasted time I could have had my car for work class etc..

i dont think a place like autozone would have a problem if you buy the part, install it and it still doesnt work and then you bring it back....ive seen it done plenty of times, they have never had a problem....

its really hard to tell which fuses run which items. did you know that our interior lights, clock, and SPEEDOMETER run off of the same fuse? I found out when my clock didnt come on and my speedometer constantly told me i wasnt moving while i was driving to my gf's house. Just pull each one out of the interior fuse box, shine a flash light through it and make sure its good. take a GOOD look bc i overlooked one and it pissed me off when i went back and found it. then go into the bay and check them out. after that, then worry. looks like youll be working overtime my friend

Check the FP inertia switch (it could be that and its often overlooked). Or try the FP relay thats an easy chcek to from what I hear. And check the fuses in the dash and underhood. YOu dont have to go thru all of them just the fuel pump/ignition related ones. However it sounds to me like you want a new fuel pump also. There cheap but its a pain in the a$$ to install so I wouldent be in such a hurry for one of those unless you need a bigger one.

Hook up a volt meter to the fuel pump contacts. Have someone in the drivers seat, while you hold the voltmeter to the FP contacts. Then, have them turn the key to ignition. Once they do, you should see a current spike, then nothing. This is the fuel pump priming. If you are getting the current spike, your FP is likely broken & electrical is fine. If you aren't getting any current, then you have an electrical issue.

Peal back the carpet where the inertia switch is (in trunk, behind driver's side tail lamp). There is a red button on top of it. Press down on the button. If the button was up, and you pushed it down, then something triggered the switch & popped the button up. If the button won't move, then it wasn't triggered.

Check the haynes manual to see which fuse the fuel pump uses. Test it!

Don't buy a FP if you don't need it. A volt meter will tell you all you need. They also have a test to make sure the fuel pump isn't working once you pull it out of the gas tank.
