Hey guys,

There are two track events at Willow Springs I'm gonna be doing next month if you're interested in joining me. The first is the COCOA (Cobra Owners Club of America) May 7th and 8th. I'm only gonna be there on the 7th. Lots of Cobras, Shelbys, classic and modern Mustangs. I did this in October, and it was my first big track experience. It was setup really well, with about 6 or 7 15 minute sessions each day. Maybe 20 or so cars on the track at once, with passing only allowed on the two straights. They also have passenger laps with about a 60mph speed limit enforced, which was still fast enough for my wife in the corners. Here's a link to the registration form: http://www.socalsaac.org/COCOA_Invit.htm

The second one is NASA HPDE on May 21st and 22nd. I'll also only be there on Saturday for this one. I've never done the HPDE with NASA, so I don't really know how crowded this will be. https://www.nasaproracing.com/nasa_event/show/?event_id=244

Both events cost about the same ($200 or so - NASA requires a membership with them)

If you're interested, register soon and look me up when you get there. I'll be in the FFR for both of them.

I ran with NASA "American Iron" for two seasons and really enjoyed watching the HPDE events. Even let several of the advanced HPDE drivers do a few laps in my "Iron" car to get a feel. You will enjoy doing laps and the social side of NASA. At the site a cool pic of me and the NASA group at Lowes Motor Speedway.

Cheers!
