SOHC and DOHC blocks the same??

Other than being iron and aluminum, are these blocks the same?? Can I use an iron sohc block for a buildup on my 96 cobra? thanks, eric

Yes you can heads bolt right up

same stuff. If you want the best block available it would have to be the new aluminum mach1 block.

The best block is the Aluminum Teksid block for the 96-98 and maybe some 99 cobras. The strongest aluminum block for a 4.6.

I stand corrected I haven't heard of that setup before.

ya, in sean hylands book he makes a really big deal about how great the teksid's are. if i remember correctly they were also used in the mrk 8's
