I am getting ready to install the motor in my mustang again. I was wondering what setup would be better for me. I have at my disposal a set of Solid motor mounts and a set of polyurethane motor mounts both of which are new and were free. Which set would you reccomend?

Whats the combination?

I ripped my prothanes a little with less than 500 hp. I put MM solid ones in last night and am keeping a bushing on the transmount so there is some flex

I use solid mounts and a urethane trans mount. Vibration isn't that bad....especially at highway speeds.

Acutally putting a 4.6 in the 95 mustang. It will have cams, full exhaust with long tubes, full bolt ons and a 125 shot.

I'd go with solids. If you don't like them, it's not hard to swap them out.

i went poly on mine and havent got the car running yet but I hope to have it on the dyno in a week or 2 so I'll let you know. also depends if you plan on grabbing traction. if not then it doesnt matter cause if your running on the street and banging gears and spinning tires there isnt that inital jerk that causes ripping

Don't think twice, I don't even notice a vibration with my solids and if there is one, it only makes the car cooler

I say solid also but have always heard you should do solid trans too so, thats what I did. I agree with comment about "it just makes the car cooler too" lol

Dunno where you heard that, but it is wrong, there needs to be some give in the driveline. I had a talk with maximum motorsports when i just bought solids from them... they said run one or the other, but not both
