On my way home today...just driving...i get pulled over by a cop on a Bike.

He comes to my window and says he liked my car and just bought a 97 GT and wanted to know what exaust i have...so i told him...i just left out the part about no cats.

One time I was pulled over for running a left-hand turn light, I forgot to put my recent insurance papers in my car. I told the cop, "honest, I do have current insurance"... he steps back and does a "once over" looking at my car from front to back and says, "I'm sure you do... nice car" and let's me go. God loves mustangs...

screw you guys. every cop ive dealt with has been an a$$ to me. all they see is a young kid in a loud, bright red mustang. im 7/7 on getting pulled over and getting tickets. havent gotten out of one yet/ever.

I had a similar thing happen too me but the Cop followed me in his car for like 5 miles in a 25mph zone, finally he clicks on his lights and pulls me over. He just wanted to know what exhaust i was running because he had just bought a 2001GT. I told him if i didn't think he was gonna pull me over i could have opened it up some for him.

i get the best of both worlds... the cops ask what exhaust i have, then hand me a ticket. I guess I'm just lucky!

haha, thats cool....never been pulled over so that they can ask me bout the stang.

But have been lucky enough to get off with out a ticket once or twice.

hehe, cops are people too...most are cool. I'm sure we havea couple on this site.

Two funny cop stories.
I got pulled over in my '04 Mustang last year and the cop was talking smack cause he just bought a '05. He said I should have waited and gotten the 3V.

Years ago when I still lived in Louisiana, I got pulled over one night heading to work. I asked the state trooper to let me check out his Sig Sauer pistol after he had pulled me over. He actually did it. Keep in mind that he had already taken my H&K off the seat and was checking it out. Louisiana has some funny laws and you can carry in your vehicle without a concealed weapon permit. I had my loaded pistol on the seat, as I usually did. It was a young guy and we started BSing about guns and different kinds of ammo after he saw my gun on the seat. He asked if he could check it out, so I said sure. After he played with it a minute, I asked if his Sig was issued to him by the state and if I could check it out. Eventually he let me go and never even called in my info.

WOW they let you carry guns without a permit in LA.. in MA you have a unlicensed handgun and they will call in the damm national guard on you.

It's cause you live in Austin, chances are they were wearing "Aviators" and had a mouth full of "chew".

In Vegas right before I left last year, Within two months I got two warnings for doing 100mph in 45 zones (at 2:00am when no one was around, just me and the lurking cops). No ticket.
