Just curious for those who changed gears in their new 5.0s...what gears did you change to, auto or manual, and your opinion of swap so far...performance, SOTP feel, mpg differences, etc. How much did it cost you? Any other pertinent info.
Thanks
RC

I'm interested in this too from the V6 side of things. I'm thinking about going with the stock 2.73:1 gears and then upgrading them later if I eventually add a supercharger. Not sure if I want to go with 3.55:1 or 3.73:1 though but I'd expect either one to cost about as much to add later as it would for me to go with the 3.31:1 factory option (what a rip off, it's not different gears cost any more to Ford to manufacture or install)

It's not a question of manufacturing cost, the 2.73 gears are for fuel economy.
