I just got my 04 Mustang Gt back from the dyno...car has a P-1SC procharger on it...which im finding out isnt that great of a supercharger (bought the car used with it installed)

Previous owner never tuned the car nor did they upgrade the fuel pump. Currently at around 5500 rpm's, you can really see the stock pump dropping out. With it dropping out, the tune shop decided to do a safe tune of 335whp and 352 ft/lbs tq

First question, What would be a recommended fuel pump to replace the stock one?

Second question...any reason for me not to do the install? I got quoted $250 for the pump and install...but wouldn't mind doing it myself

And last question...currently the car is running 8 psi of boost...i want to run 10 psi. Anybody have the part number of the the 10 psi pulley for the procharger p-1sc and also the belt part number?

the SVT focus pumps will be good for your car with what it has but im puzzled as to why it has the stock pump that should have been replaced when the SC was installed ......

2) you can do it yourself requires you dropping the tank and making sure you dont have alot of gas in it, to make things easier

3) if your kit is the intercooled kit i would go with teh 10# pulley but i would just have it retuned after the pump install

Tune shop also recommended the SVT focus pump...do i have to buy that from ford, or can i get it aftermarket? And yeah i'm also shocked they didnt swap out the pump...i think they were either trying to go as cheap as possible (example, not tuning the car) or just had a really crappy shop install the parts for them...if the owner didnt know much about the car, i can definatly see why they traded it in.

Yes the car is going to be retuned after i get the pump and pulley done...dont want to just waste money twice.

OH learned a valuable lesson during the tune...well already knew it, but got reminded of it...DO NOT PLUG IN THE ECU WITH THE KEY IN THE RUN POSITION...ECU lets out its magic smoke yeah tune shop got in a hurry, forgot about the key in the ignition...but they replaced the comp and payed for my rental car, so can't complain all too much.

need to get it from Ford. Either a local shop, one of the many parts houses. I think Randy Stichcomb is on here lots of people get them through him.
As for install. Not that hard to do. Hope you have smaller hand than me cause it was a tight fit for my hands.

The reason why its going lean is because Procharger kits don't come with an aftermarket fuel pump.

I'd make sure you have the 3 core intercooler before putting on the 10 psi pulley, and since you bought the car with the supercharger on it you should change the supercharger oil first.

Better get a compression test done. Chances are the car ran lean if your using the stock fuel pump on 8 pounds of boost.

Some people just don't know WTF they are doing (reffering to the previous owner)

sounds like the previous owner installed a tuner kit..no pump/tune/inj....what size injectors do you have? You should have atleast 42lber's and upgradeing to a Lightning 90mm mass air isn't a bad idea either.

Ok so i got the pump installed today...ended up getting the Focus SVT pump. I was going to do it myself, but with the weather the way its been, i ended up just having the shop do it.

I'm still stumped as far the pump goes...why go through the trouble of installing 42# injectors, but not upgrade the pump?

Still can't find a site that sells the 10# pulleys for the s/c Tune shope recommend the Reichart pulleys...anybody know their website, or phone #? Tune shop wants $600 for parts, install and dyno tune. I'm looking to save a few $ especially since i cant see a pulley swap being all that difficult
