Im pretty new to the mustang world, got a good deal on an 87 hatch with the following...

306
Typhoon? (i think) Upper and lower intake
24lb injectors with 70-75mm MAF and i wanna say 60-65mm TB
it has aftermarket fuel pump although im not sure size/brand
no AC,SP or PS just ALT
BBK longtube headers back to some type of flowmasters
not sure about heads or valvetrain

Im just looking for a rough estimate on HP numbers

Hopefully its close to 300 but I have no idea. thanks

find out what heads it has, that's like the most important thing in estimating horsepower. but say it has stock heads and has all the stuff you think it has, about 230-240 RWHP

thanks I will check and see...one of my friends did say something about "E7" or something, i guess that might be it but I will double check

E7 is the stock head name, but a ported e7 will help out.

Yeah thumper heads (ported E7's) is good if your on a budget...and will give you a pretty nice increase...

AGREED...thumpers are one of the best bang for your buck on the market and Thumper is a great guy to boot.

oops

I forgot to even list the cam I got in it ...its an E-303. would that make a difference?

You probably have around 260-265 flywheel hp right now. (assuming they're stock heads)

if he has no PS that will help out and all the other stuff with an E cam i'd say more like 280-300 at the flywheel, that is if they are aftermarket heads or somthing similar to Thumpers heads, and it looks like he has some good supporting mods also. if they are what he says they are.

if they are stock heads, probably no more than 220-225 rwhp.
