I am trying to decide if I should go with a 3" Cobra R hood or a 2½" cowl hood, and I can't make up my mind. I just ordered a Steeda Aero spoiler, Cobra rear bumper, and a Cobra bumper insert for the front and I am not sure which hood is going to look the best with these other components. I am leaning towards the cowl hood because I think it just looks downright mean from the front, and my wife likes the Cobra R hood. I actually like them both, but you can find the R hood much more reasonably priced. If anyone has an opinion please post it. Thank you.

Cobra rear bumper on an LX?

Also I would say cowl, simply because to me when the R hood doesn't line up with the black cowl piece it looks "off".

I have seen it before with the Cobra bumper on an LX and thought that it looked great, but haven't seen it in a while. I think it'll look good on my car because it wil hide the unfinished part of my tailpipes. I hate that you can see the unfinished portion. If anyone has some pics of LXs with the Cobra bumper could you please post them up, I would love to see it again, I can't find any pics right now. Thank you.

You have good taste in hoods. Those are, by far, the two best looking hoods for our cars. That being said, keep the stocker!! Go with a full Saleen body kit, instead, for just about the same money! You don't need the hood for clearance, right? If you are dead-set on getting a hood, go with the simple, understated 2" cowl.

hood choice

I went with the Steeda louvered 2 inch hood, made my Kaneen. I couldn't be happier and cannot wait to get it panted. Ordered from Steeda was 550 shipped, kind of pricy but well worth it.

I say 3" cowl. I think the cowl hood flows the lines of the front fenders perfect.

Jacob- What suspension are you runnin?

I'm running Eibach Sportlines and I think KYB shocks. They were on the car when I got it.

Are you putting the side ground fx on too? God I hope so!!! On the hood, I like both options. Might as well get the cobra r hood though, Thats what the wife likes!

No ground effects on the side.
Hasn't anyone seen an LX with Cobra bumper? I saw it and thought that it looked good.
No one has pics?

It will look very unproportional from the side. I would spend $150.00 on new tailpipes , instead of buying a cobra bumper. Ive seen it in a picture before in a thread and everybody asked when he was going to finish putting it together. That kinda says something!

Macn89Black had progress pics with a Cobra front and rear and no side skirts, looked undone to me.

Also the body molding wont match, as the rear Cobra bumper will have GT moldings and the rest will be LX stuff.

Maybe I'm gonna have to rethink this then. I need to see some pics, because I haven't seen pics in a long time. I hate that stock LX rear bumper though. Thank you for the advice.

Does any one have more opinions on the hood? Right now I am thinking R hood. Thanks for the pics AllBalls!

I seriously love this car, just the way it is.

I'm not feelin' the Cobra rear bumper without side ground effects though.
