In the mornings I start up the car it has a really bad exhaust leak, but after driving for a while the leak goes away!! Why is that????

Once your exhaust heats up, it expands and fills the gap/seal/gasket its leaking from. Just my .02

Thats what I thought, I have pinpointed it is coming from the passenger side but with the damn smog pump tubes in the way it is going to be a bitch to replace that header gasket.

Rip it off! You dont need the smog pump anyways!

I would imagine it is just simple expansion/contraction for this. It must not be that much of a leak though, because I don't think it would expand too much.

Yup, mine does it. In the morning i have a bad leak on my driver's side header at the collector. After the car warms up, the leak is gone.

Usually when that happens, it's a tiny leak that just sounds big.
