A couple months ago my can gear ate my distributor gear. The cam is fine, and the cylinder walls look fine, the motor has less than 70k miles on it. But I wonder what happened to those peices of distributor gear? Should I drop the pan and check there? Should I just get a new shortblock? I have no money really (college student) so a new shortblock is out, I would probably just have to find a low mileage 5.0L if needed. What should I do?
