540 watts.. the mach 1000's come with (2) 10" woofers with 1000 watts total of ampage.

Mach 1000: 8 speakers, 2 subs, 1000 watts peak output.

I'm sure it does, but you could build a better system for less money than the cost of either the 460 or the 1000.

Aftermarket is always going to be better than any factory system. I believe the Mach 1000 is a $1000+ add-on to the GT. Although it's an AWESOME system, I'm sure you could find better and cheaper in the aftermarket

Thats true...I thought about upgrading my 460 to the 1000, but it would cost me $1,300 For that much, I could redo the entire system!

Basically, Mach 1000 OWNS the 460

I have an 02 GT vert with a 460, added a rockford 1500w amp (behind drivers seat, and 2x10" Rockford subs in the trunk. Total cost fitted $550. Sounds absolutely KILLER. And I can easily remove the subs, if I want more roomin the trunk.

You do need a good installer as it can be difficult to "tap-in" to the 460 to add the subs. The Mach system is very customized for the Stang.

They're in the trunk.

Like I said,in the trunk. They are in an enclosure and sit toward the veryfront of the trunkand use about half the trunk space (in a vert).
