Part of owning an old muscle car (could the 4 cylinder 2.3L be considered a muscle car?) is the sound it makes when you punch it. Do the 2.3T (running 2 turbos and 2 intercoolers) sound like the 5.0L's?

Let me repeat, HUH?

In any case, as was said, no. Are we talking exhaust noise? Turbo whine/whistle?

If you want a loud rumble, you can certainly make a 2.3 loud, but won't ever sound like a V8. YOu might fool a lot of people, but it's still just different. Kinda like the questions about will a 2.3L Lima sound like an import if... ?. No, it's not JUST the types of mufflers that gives any engine it's sound.

Fours are harder to kill the annoying high pitched sound, ie, that makes a ricer a ricer.

It can be done, but it is not common. I have not tried it or even listened to many fours since 1969, when I had a Volvo B16 and a glasspack.

Four cylinder inboard boat engines, with the marine manifolds usually sound pretty good.

I've heard good things about 2.3 N/A's with ranger headers and flowmaster muffllers...I'm interested in doing it to mine but I'm curious exactly how it will sound, does anyone maybe have a sound clip?
