I'm having a misfire at around 6100 rpms and I think my spark plug gaps may be wrong. What should they be gapped to on a 331 stroker with 10:1 compression?
what ignition set up do you have (and how old are the components)? and you are not hitting a limiter, right?
if you think your flame is being snuffed out, have you closed up the gap a bit.
much like timing, im not sure you will find one magic gap that fits all (folks with similar set ups). you will likely have to play with it and close it up till you are not running out of spark.
If you've got an MSD ignition, you could probably run close to .060.
Like mentioned, close the gaps to about .035 or .040 and see what happens. If it works fine, you know you were running too much of a gap, however I don't think that's what your problem is.
Joe has some nice advice for you. i might try gapping the plugs pretty tight (so as to rule out their being snuffed out). if you still have issues, to me, that sounds like your TFI might not be up to snuff at higher RPM's. we dont have a lot of info from you to guess from, but i would not overlook the TFI (or atleast consider it).
