Spark Plug issue

Any thoughts on whether the spark plug issue on the 2005-2007's is caused by time or heat cycles? Say I find an '06 with 5,000 miles, would it be more or less likely than a higher mileage engine to have a problem? I'm thinking the issue is corrosion related, so the time element would drive it, but then sometimes heat can accelerate corrosion of parts so a higher mileage engine would have a worse problem with this. Any thoughts?

The plug issue isn't caused by corrosion. The problem is that carbon builds up around the "barrel" of the plug therefore cementing it into the bore in the head. If I had a car with only 5K miles on the clock, I'd pull the plugs and either, A. Replace with one piece plugs (using nickel anti-seize) before the problem occured.
or
B. Clean the barrel, apply nickel anti-seize to the OE plugs and re-install, again, before the problem occurs.

Trust me, you do not want to break off a plug.
